Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Skepticism arises from the alienated appearance of certain things. The inspiration for this blogging is the result of pensive thinking. The best fish swims near the bottom, and man should have realised the importance of being satisfied when the best is achieved and not continue to strive for perfection, only to spoil what would have been good enough. As people say, the best is often the enemy of the good.

A contented mind is a perpetual feast. Contentment brings forth long lasting happiness rather than that from material possession. The preference of contentment is not easily attainable though. The course never did run smooth. If wishes were horses, beggars would rise. It tells us wishes never come true so never waste your wishes. Man casted his wish only to realise it was futile effort.

Books have become man's best friend. Going into hibernation, perhaps only with the companion of books, leaving a drowning man clutching at a straw.

Impact. An amiguous word with its numerous meanings.
A collision.
The force transmitted by or as if by a collision.
The effect or impression of one thing or another.
To pack firmly together.
To strike forcefully.
To have and effect or impact on.
In this context it means an effect on one thing.

East or west, home is best. The sense of rootedness never able to drift from man. Quoting from geographical context, certain old buildings like those shophouses by the Singapore River, are preserved to capture the sense of rootedness in the region. Similiarly, man preserve knick-knacks to hold on to these sense of rootedness. The unwillingness to transcend has become a hindrance. Note it says unwillingness. The ability is there.

Ambivalent feelings is what calls for literary studies. To analyse and potray the exact opinions with bodily features and expressions. Simplicity in man is unattainable for tales out of school are not told.

Forgive and forget for Homer sometimes nods as well, magnanimity costs nothing like courtesy.
Step forth when the sky turns dark, but why does people say everything comes to him who waits?
Do unto others as you would others do unto you, such that a good husband would make a good wife.

A trial to bewilder all readers, however the biter would be bit in future.

The latest school report was focused on the displeasure school kids had for school. This was not an uncommon sight in everyday life as numerous kids out there feared school for no rhyme and reason. Perhaps it is due to the inhumanity of teachers, which instills the phobia in them. For this particular kid, it was different. Though school work rained incessantly down on him, he managed to pull through doubtlessly, for he knew he was never alone. All his friends were down on the same boat, which made him a wee bit heartened.

Things were maneuvering towards a different course now. For one, the kid detests the life of being "bodyguarded" by a "kitty cat". This undoubtly reminds him of life in junior school, which in some sense brings back some of those "fondest" memories. It suddenly felt similar, with the replicating of certain characters, as if in a fairy tale. He would rather be reminded of his sec 1/2 life. The kid expressed his outermost heartbreaking grievances when interviewed. He appreciated all that help but it seemed a little outrageous.

Life was becoming less meaningful. Tainted with the corruptablity of the people, it has become so much of a facade that it frightens one.

The press was present at this particular event.
Again, a targetted kid was interviewed. This time, it was a she who expressed her disdain for a certain character. This was yet another instance of fakery. The pair of friends seemed like great friends but truely, how did they feel about each other?
All the silent words of hatred which hung by the lips, fell on the sharp ears which picked up only bits and pieces of it. But it was enough to prove something and she had a limit of tolerance. It seemed that they were not standing on the same wavelength like before anymore and they could not see eye to eye with each other, which would not be of much concern after retirement.
However, she was glad her feelings for another was rekindled. It was like a lighted candle which needed oxygen to burn. This particular event served as a source of oxygen. But without it wad would become of those feelings again?

Looking for a friend with tacit understanding.

End of report. 11.24pm.

This is the first year Mrs Lim is taking over and it seemed like there was a change in work style. This year was especially emotional and the flaring up at the eleventh moment had us all startled. The softer approach has worked better, enabling me to feel enough for her. This must be the first time that the effort put in to prepare for the investiture was genuine. I see a better future in the council with her around.

I have got to mention how great she is.
Not being more than just a biology teacher, she had stood hearing our grievances of the holy one. Feeling so much for us, she had gone pass the wavelength of just a biology teacher, forking out money to get refresherners for us. She did not know what she could do for us as she could not kill the holy one with a parang, thus tried to do something to make us feel happy. The main aim is to lighten us up and maybe to kill the holy one with "detergent" in the refresherner?..
What had happened to the other teachers?.. particularly the form and co-form teachers? if only she were our form teacher. perhaps life in 4/7 would be much more enjoyable.

awaiting.

results of boredom.. zzz
the press is on leave today on preparation for school which begins tomorrow.
the mountaineous homework some have triumph over.
how can anyone feel guilty for reading books and not studying?
oh my god. this is stress.

the only memorable thing that happened this week is the outing with badminton girls.
we caught the screening for Big Momma 2. It was of ordinary standards in my opinion. I had thought I not Stupid would be nicer. Oh well, at least it was an eye opener that day to catch meigui being influenced by fiona and wore skirt. lol..
And of course to remember that particular day we took neoprints. With a faulty picture due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to retake and there goes our $9-1= $8. Some inconsiderate people who went in after us attempted to choose our photos for us when we apparently forgot to choose before coming out, and it was patently obvious that they had bad taste if they chose the "best ones" in that sense. Joan being camera shy (to make it sound nicer) refused to take with us, this left us with fiona, meigui jenna and I in the photo.

Well that was all for some had to leave early to deal with other matters.
Hopefully this would be the busiest holiday. I wouldn dare to call it the slackest.

ps.thanks xj for the pic. lesson.

Queen Elizabeth sighted in National Library Board

Six teenagers chanced upon Queen Elizabeth visit to Singapore for her second time, with no clue of what was going on for not reading the news, these teenagers came to Bugis Street in search of a microfilm. It was an eyeopener for the first-timers, highly recommended for all to pay a visit to. The difference in atmosphere of the library was conspicuous, especially with the library being highly guarded today with the news of the arrival of the queen. Guards stood by the doors waiting anxiously for they had probably stood all day and had to be tired. Nobody had an idea of when the queen would arrive. It could be any time now, or it could be ages later. Nobody knew, yet everyone was on the lookout, all curious about the visit.

These teenagers went on with their business. Consternation and bewilderment were relieved with the kind assistance of the librarians on duty. Headed for the location of the microfilms on the 11th floor, the teenagers seemed like they had never taken a lift before. Excitement engulfed their souls and they were patiently hushed by the security guards. Bags were shuffled into the lockers and the teenagers seeked help for the proper useage of the microfilms. It was around noon when the queen arrived. Its was mere coincidence that the teenagers managed to see her at this particular place and time when none of them had read about it in the news. All they knew was that they were here to look for articles for their project. Clad in green, the queen was an easy target for assassinators. This was probably the fact why she was well armed with people trailing behind her and also bodyguarded. Not to mention the fact that reporters were busy trying to get a golden word from her mouth, rushing all around looking rather buzy.

It was time to leave the place though. There wasnt much time for three muskerteers(arkar naomi), leaving the rest behind (weelic junjie chai.) slogging their guts out finding the relevant articles. More of having a fun time though. Junjie was totally obsessed with taking pictures of the Queen, hoping to get a clear view of her and snapping shots of her. Spastically, Arkar and his great idea of taking Naomi at a distance with the queen. wow. how terrific. And junjie could suggest just running up to her as ask for a photograph =.= perfect lamers.

Time and tide waits for no man.
The trio left in a rush and in earnest discussion all the way.
A comment that made a joke out of it, it was really unforgivable to not know that queens existed in western countries and that they did nothing in their work scope. Commenting that people probably wouldn believe that the teenagers had chanced upon the queen, and had probably seen her in books, this comment was proven right by Arkar's friend.

"Wow is she chio?" -lj

"hu is queen? weiting? pms? ms heng? HU?!" -xj.

LOLX. OMG.

The shrieks of youngsters could be heard from miles away. This was the splendid call indicating that the long awaited for holidays has finally arrived.
News flash tonight.

ANDERSON CROSS COUNTRY 2006.
Yesterday marks the start of the holiday spirit for the students in Anderson where everyone was gathered t0 celebrate the end of the term with a annual cross country race. This year was made competitive and it was indeed more challenging for everyone was going to be involved. It would be contrary to the year before where only students who had signed up would be running competitively, this strikes off potential runners who were unwilling to self nominate or whose potential had not been recognised.

Champion class was awarded to Sec 5/1 whose 5 runners were in the top 20 positions, inclusive of both females and males. This loss of the champion title to members of the vying classes was a disappointment. The battle was on, neglecting everyone else in sight. It was thought to be between the fives and sevens only, a result of the contest one year ago.

The road had been rough, the going had been tough, and there had been as many slopes as anyone could handle. Yet this did not deter the determination in those girls.
The girls were head-to-head with each other, all ignoring the external factors and treating anyone in their paths as boulders. Their main focus was the ending point. The place where their leg muscles could finally get a breath of fresh air. And finally...

1st in place was caisang of 4/7!
2nd, RuTH of 4/7! who had amazingly unscrewed her trophy such that she could fit it into her tiny bag.
3rd, adlin 4/2.
4th, valerie 4/5
5th, zhuang yuan 4/7!
wow arent we proud of those 4/7ers and badminton people.~

not to forget mentioning joan who out of sheer lucky managed to wedge into the top 20 with the elimination of the 12th runner who had not reported. She, the holy one, who so unluckily had came in 21th at the end had hopped back into the queue of the top 20. amazing indeed.

Homework is killing the brains of kids in class 4/7.

The recent case of mathematics syndrome has hit the class 4/7 in Anderson. With no apparent reason for the cause of virus, the students are found to be struggling during this fateful weekend. Further implications could lead to a massive breakdown of engine in the students, driving them to the precipice of lives. This is an exaggeration as a collation of opinions have proven mathematics to be the subject that these kids had the most passion for. This could be accounted for by the meticulous teacher Mr Tan Teck Poh who every single child had praises for.

"okay i have so much math homework i think i hav a high chance of drowning.. and there's this feeling that i haven't seen the world in such a long while. i hate that feeling..feeling as if i've been staying at home all week long because of homework, and i haven't been outside at all that kinda no-life feeling i dunno how some people can just bear with that feeling." says sok mui, student of sec 4/7.

Reader expresses similar concern.
Life's really getting deadening, most without a social life now. The day has become a routine like the night. The cycle repeats itself.

Feeling really sorry for lagging in so many belated presents.
Junjie's for a particular reason has been nagging in my head. Owing since last year isnt something to be proud of. lol.

The latest report on spirits have shown improvement.
After a setback one week ago, where the forgathering was eventually called off, the determination remains.
It was yesterday that the team managed to get together, with the presence of all except two individuals with great regrets, ruth who was too caught up with art and charmaine whom our dear member jenna had patently forgotten to inform.

This was a member's prerogative, each member proud to be one. The team tend to be the envy of every other groups.

Every individual would have had the greatest sense of belonging except one perhaps and thats the greatest achievement each member of a group can possess. The worst scenerio would be to gain achievements in a nonchalant team with devilish and scheming individuals, each hell-bent on achieving his own success, in the end only to neglect everyone else and even to the extent of hurting them in the process.

The priceless achievement now would deem to be the best achievement that every player would want to possess, no doubt the medal would be a glory at the moment. The reason to it is prominent, the feel of glory showered on the team when every one struts up on stage to recieve their medals from the principal's hands, with other fellow andersonians clapping monotonously though, but despite that the self satisfaction is present. However the feeling would not last perpetually, therefore some are ambivalent about the best scenerio that they would rather pursue.

In a decade time, the success which was sought after 10 years ago would mean nothing to one after the loss of touch and contact with a shuttle cork. But what would be everlasting is the sincerity of true friendship built up. No wonder the school reiterates the importance of choosing the right CCA to all secondary one pupils when their choice is first to be made. The purpose isnt only because of the right development of talents and the stretching of one's strength to the fullest. The point is choosing the wrong CCA would determine the wrong path with the negative type of influence. Teams may possess what we know of as the black sheep of the family and internal conflict may arise. It is never a good choice to join a larger CCA group if what we sought for is team spirit.

Evidence is shown in CCAs such as uniform groups and cultural arts. With a large number of people in each CCA the interlink within is weakened. The uncalled for disatisfaction with each other is inevitable. This is evident in the dance troop. Insides stories would be reserved.

This time,a member of the team would like to express her greatest wisdom of thoughts. ^^

"Getting to know all the spastic people who turn out to be more than the six that meigui has pointed out has proved the choice well made some three years ago at the CCA open house. The lamest one so far had been terence whom we had all seen at the chalet. It was indeed a splendid memory to be kept. Never failing to make us laugh every other minute. Following that would be our great old captain yongyuan who amuses everyone with his extraordinary optimism. 'I feel happy for my opponent for beating me'. Wow such enthusiasm isnt very much oblivious in other players. There are so many more that time is running out right now. When chances come i'll try to elaborate more.
But it would never be the same without this path as a stepping stone."

In layman terms,
~we love our team

~happy birthday mel~^^

we are living in a delusional world deluded into believing the unbelievable.

the all almighty expresses one's ideas on what we know of as moral courage. the type of courage that PMS had expressed to the holy pupils of the school at the recent meetings of being able to supress to peer pressure and do whats right. So morally courageous one wants to prove oneself to be, one desperately tries to instill the right discipline in all, yet this protrayal of a seemingly heroic character is a feign impression of one, to be crude, a real faker.

What we had learnt in CME lesson of the top characteristic of a leader is honesty.
This characteristic being agreed by 81% of the people who had taken the survey, is no doubt absent in our old great one. Telling people to do something yet doing the contrary, its impossible to convey the right message and gain respect. This is distintively evident. it jus causes the onlookers be filled with disgust.

the great one shall not be named. But it is indeed conspicuous.

a pathetic place that we associate ourselves in AS A UNITED COMMUNITY is none other then a false appearence in front of the big family. In actual fact, each individual jolly well knows how much commitment is applied and how apathetic everyone could be.

Its an HonOuR to belong. And innocent junjie thinks i enjoy it.

Yet in other aspects do we see similar characteristics. Though most would be oblivious of it, we do hear things all around us. A fakery so well covered up that most would be kept in the dark. Judging on a neutral view, being the victim of gossip is sure saddening, especially when one is ignorant. Jus look at the power of the hypocritical society!

Lets be friends, and the next moment you get back stabbed behind you. All the laughters and jokes that you created were yet deemed as lame. You have no idea, yet this is fact. This is the type of world we live in, disingenuous. Do be wary of all the so called friends that you have made, some angel-like looking yet devils at heart.

Treasure the true friends and let go of the bogus ones.
Return twice the amount friends offers.

miss the past where frens were frens and foes were foes. the obvious truth.

its sad to know your presence is of no significance.
do feel sorry for yourself though you wouldn read this anyway. happy birthday for the 8th time.

Hi everyone. I should say you must be scrutinizing every part of my blog to be reading this arent you? Well, if you're that bored or interested in me, this is me you're looking at. Just a typical mundane human being living in this distorted world filled with what we call friends and foes. It's just me to get all maudlin and touchy about friendships and covalent bonds that i painstakingly built, and it's most dreading to realise what you call friends are actually fair-weathered ones and ditch you for others. You know.. that sort of ambivalent feelings which arises with such friendships. From young, my pedagogues have complained of me being temperamental and from there i have learnt and seen the world beyond me, where there happened to be people fairing far worst than i do. I realised in this period of isolation that life turns out to be happier for everyone if people knew how to be sate with life. It's just in the genes that human beings have to take things for granted and learn to appreciate things only when they have lost it. Sad isn't it?. I admit possessing that characteristic, which led me to losing what i should have treasured most, with great regrets. Now, like Krishna, we are inclined to seeking comfort from things that we are familiar with, unaccustomed to changes. It may not appear to be me on the outside, braving the winds of the outside world, strong and unbeatable. Like the saying goes, never judge the book by its cover, and i believe in that, in the way i credit people. We all treasure private space don't we?.. It's just human nature. And of course it most dreading to feel deserted by your friends isn't it.. ? To feel cheated and betrayed.. Well, live a sate life readers!
