~ 11:47 AM ~
Seems like the holidays are ending soon.. it's already the 23th of december.. two days to christmas.. Remembering christmas 2 years ago, perhaps that's the 1st time i ever celebrated christmas.. Well, it wouldn't hurt experiencing something similar again, minus-ing the losing wallet part of course.

So, there aren't many days left to enjoy such freedom, without homework, without the pressure of being committed to anything in particular. Perhaps we would only enjoy it again 2 years down the road when we finally complete another hard course in life- A levels. Well, that's still too far to contemplate about, i guess we should just leave it till the time comes.

The past few days have been spent with a bunch of lamers as well. As most active blog-hoppers should have read from others' blogs, we just had our badminton chalet. I wouldn't say it has been the best times of my life, cause there're better times that we had together. lolx. But, as usual, even stoning together can be fun. All activities depends on whom are the participants which brings out the extend of the fun element.

Well, we probably are jinxed to the place, as it started raining as soon as we stepped off the bus 354. The rest ran off in the rain while i decided to camp at the busstop with joan and wait for the rain to be diminished. Heaven was on our side and it stopped a few minutes later.. -.-

There wasn't much to do indoors, neither was there outdoors in the bad weather. Summarising the activities, we played pool, mahjong, bridge and speed. Then, i learnt two new games called "pig" and "indian poker", both of which are rather interesting. When there's a chance, we could have another few rounds. lols.

The weather was unpredictable, as much as we dread it, it can't be helped. Therefore there is no need for any one to feel bad about it really. There is always next year to look forward to. =)

The last night aka morning was spent camping out in the wind and rain. -.- Not really in the rain, but more of the wind. It was literally freezing with each gust of wind which blew. Dressed in shorts and thin cotton shirt wasn't exactly the best outfit to fight the strong wind. So at first we were playing bridge in mac, then Mr foc complained of the heat because mac was trying to save electricity by turning off the aircon -.- So we decided to move outside beside weilun and his pri sch frens who were so free to come 1 day before their chalet, where there was wind. And, the wind turned out to be more than what we demanded for. And we ended up sheltering ourselves from the wind with an umbrella -.- ... It was more than we could tolerate, which resulted in us moving to yet another location. This time it's a faraway cozy area in a "coffeeshop", and we settled there till 6am in the morning.

We were playing bridge at first, but it was probably quite bad to let one person stone so we ended up talking. There was meigui, lao ren, Mr Foc and the newly found Mr Fos and me of course. So, the talk ranged from the lao ren batch to the youngest juniors.

I couldn't help but nod off to sleep occasionally, yet every time meigui turned to stare at me, i would wake up, turn and stare back at her. Then there would be that bewildered look on her face asking me if i'm dead or still catching on their conversation. I'm not emotional really, just tired and trying to sleep, so perhaps she should stop waking me up -.- She claimed that i was nodding for no reason at what they were saying though i was semi-conscious. Then there was once when they were talking about the red ants in the school hall and i suddenly said "really?.. Just now also got.. " Well, tiredness leads to incoherence. It would be further potrayed in this entry..

So when we got back to the chalet in the morning, i was sleeping like a log when a few of them started clearing up the place. This account is by meigui as she relate to me what happened in my sleep as i could only remember a pillow flying over to onto my head and me buried under a blanket before drifting off to sleep.

After clearing up, apparently they started to stone and some laid down to sleep. Then, Mr foc decided that the place was still dirty and started a conversation with meigui..

*translated to english*
Mr. foc: eh here stll very dirty leh..
mg: where?
Mr. foc: here lor..
mg: where?..
Mr. foc: here.. here.. here.. *dead aka knocked out..*

Apparently before that, they were talking about something, perhaps discussing when the rest of us would wake up and then we can all go for breakfast together.. then, for no particular reason, Mr. foc decided to ask " how many brendas did you buy?" .. wow.. it appears that Mr. Foc sure lives up to his name even when he is half dead. -.-

And he got a spastic partner named mushroom. Mushroom was wide awake after snoozing while we were out. Therefore, he started to stone in front of the tv, less than 1 metre away from it, watching suria (some malay channel i guess). And he who can easily reach the tv button decided that using a clothes hanger to press the buttons is more convenient -.- so he was happily pressing the buttons and blasting the "malay rap" hoping it will wake all of us up. Sadly, none of us budged.. Then he decided to tickle people's legs with the hanger in the attempt to wake them up. So, junhe and Mr foc happened to be victims, yet there was no response again. lolx.. poor mushroom must be feeling really lame and spastic then.

I shalln't be posting pictures of the chalet as the shots taken are all really random.. check out meigui's blog for a view of the pictures.

I guess that's all for now.. losing 4 teeth in a day isn't exactly much fun.. it just means losing a pool of blood -.- It's time for a rest.

But before that, i did promise to post some pictures of the outing at vivo.. Of all pictures, this is the best shot so we shall all see it..

how romantic huh?.. you jump i jump *whee*

Right now, i'm blogging before leaving the house to meet up with the rest.. This is a once in a blue moon event as jenna happens to be the organiser, thus i offer my sincere apology for standing anybody else up.

Prior to this event, i found two things rather amusing..
First of all, instead of everyone else asking the organiser of the details of the event, all ends up asking me.
Secondly, the organiser herself mixes up the time and ends up asking me the details as well. -.-

So, our dear jenna calls me early in the morning, sounding so full of energy.. only to my horror did she finally claimed that she thought the meeting time was two instead of twelve.. and that she had to go clean up her church for christmas -.-

and so, she who is feeling guilty sends a message that seemed to carry no tinge of guilt in it..

"Hihi pple! Today watching movie at vivocity.. Pls b at dhoby ghaut statn at 12pm.. Lunch 1st wherever cheap n gd coz vivo fd court quite ex de.. Pls bring enuf$. Urs truly offers her sincere apology as she can only b thre by 2pm to watch movie wif ual.. Wheee " (straight from the text without editing.)

It's quite sad really that not all can turn up, and by the minute, it seems like some are backing out at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances . Like joan who says " Eh.. i cfm tmr canoot go liao, got fever my mother wann me go see doc instead. paiseh.. help me apologize to jenna oso.. 10q" at 11.52pm (at least one person rmbed jenna is the organiser) and fiona who backed out on meigui last night who saw her message and fell asleep -.- how nice.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, those who could make it came. Yong yuan, yong kiat, soonkiat, spiky, wilson, ruth, meigui and i. Jenna the organiser only came later after cleaning up her church -.- The place was huge, and throngs of people from all walks of life liven up the place. I have a phobia for crowded places ever since being pickpocketed at orchard sometime ago during the christmas season. The christmas party was going wild and stupid me din't realise some idiot had rummaged through my bag 0.0 ..
It was wierd at first, without Mr. FOC as the so-called-bridge, meigui claimed that the girls probably wouldn't be talking to the boys. So we were sort of feeling awkward while waiting for spiky, who was late as usual, as the guys continued with their own conversation and the girls their own.
Probably it's due to the fact that we haven't met up for some time and things aren't going as smoothly as expected. It all needs someone to make the first move. Soon after spiky arrived, we made our way to vivocity's thai express for lunch. Bridge manics like us never fail to spend our time playing bridge whenever a chance arise. Attaining the level of queen gambling 2, a deck of cards would be found on me. I must be getting back the old habit which i kicked since sec 3.
There wasn't much to do except window shopping as the various entertainment available was really atrociously expensive. The usual price of pool was $7 per hr yet it was $10 per hr at vivo.
As jenna claims, the entertainment available readily at vivo is watching kids jumping around in the rooftop swimming pool or you can call it pond (by ruth). People flock to this pool due to limited space available in Sentosa. (by someone-i-forgot-who) And all the experience i got at the arcade was watching a girl shake her butt like there was no tomorrow on the parapara machine. I shouldn't comment too much since i aren't a pro, lets just leave it at that and judge it for yourself if you are interested in my videoclip of her.
We visited a pet shop, daiso, ruth's haven (a mega book store) , a chocolate shop and toy'r us before it was time to head for the theatre. The pet shop was really interesting and unique as we found junhe (doughnut) and many different species of dogs and other animals. The rest were getting so fascinated looking at the pets and spiky was all the time thinking of FiFi and of the clothes that he could buy for her.
p.s. ruth has 2 havens
1. book store
2. drink store
The book store was really fabulous where we saw books of bridge for idiots. just nice for spiky and the drinking book for ruth. The rest of the guys got caught up looking at badminton books and comics. The attractive thing of this book store is that the book shelves are all slanted which makes the shop seems like it is toppling down. There are really funny looking snapshots that we took of spiky and yongkiat the gays. IF the chance arise, i may post it right here. Keep updated for more amusing shots of the biggest gays right here in ABT..
The movie was ok.. we watched "THe Holiday" by the way.. and it's about two women having a house exchange. And there was all that kissing scenes after the women met new guys in their unfamiliar land, and each time they kissed, i felt like going to the toilet more -.- It's really terrible watching on those cheesy scenes with a full bladder, seriously. It was really a show that was unexpected and it was far from what the thriller showed as claimed by jenna. She thought it was amusing for the guys to agree to watching that show as she thought it was gay -.- Apparently yongkiat and wilson were gaying ard behind us (the girls) throughout the whole movie. Nevertheless, it was a great day.
Waking up with a jumpstart, i realised how late i was going to be if i din't hurry. And things just din't seem to go right when i meet a "kayu" bus driver.. The bus was moving on the expressway where there was traffic jam on the lane going in the opposite direction. Perhaps the driver was too engrossed in his driving that he din't realise that i pressed the bell -.-' and *whizzed* past my stop -.- which makes me even later than expected.
A little game of badminton that we had before we headed for yishun safra for arcade and pool. Nice place i must say.. With facilities like rock climbing, swimming pools, arcade, pool, bowling and etc.. wow. heavenly..
pingkee and chai were so caught up with themselves in their magical conversations that the rest of us just sat listening with little intention. Quite racist of them to call him black man, but well i am innocent.
And so, today is the big day when the pae results is released. I guess i aren't exactly thrilled about the results.. If only..
As expected, everyone starts asking "Hey so which school did you go?" as soon as you see someone familiar or bothers to take you into consideration. And the conversation continues into "So you know where ___ is going?" or "so who else you know is going there?"
It gets quite saddening when you suddenly realise all the people going to the same school are less than acquaintance to you.
I detest sec three life and really don't wish to experience anything similar again. I guess i'll be missing Anderson more than i expect myself to be. I seriously will.
Why should we all be like Krishna and hold on to the past? Maybe we should just let go and move away from our comfort zone. Only then will we see new things and gain new friends. Yet not everyone can do it. i agree with priscilla's blog..
10 things clotted in my mind.
1. how will a new life be like?
2. how does it feel like losing 4 teeth?
3. how will the badminton chalet turn out?
4. what will tomorrow bring?
5. i'm talking more often to my blog without my irritating friend. is that gd or bad?
6. i'm not conceited.
7. feeling lost.
8. why do all the luck go to some strikes people and not others?
9. this is unfair. they should let it be all or none.
10. there's nothing better than sleeping now. it's 1 am. yet not feeling tired at all.
Spiky aka coach was late today as usual, by merely 4 mins which is an achievement i must say. He, the lazy bum who never wakes up till 12 noon actually reached only 4 mins late!!
Thank god he arrived, for i would really be at a loss otherwise as meigui was still snoozing at woodlands and ruth was no where in sight. Left alone with those noisy bunch of people is wad i dread most. Training is really different with Spiky as the coach, quite different from the past days where we just had to sit and watch while FOC did the all the work. Today, i had to lend him a hand for i couldn't bear to see a helpless coach. Ever seen a coach who ask the students what to do instead of telling them what to do?.. Yeah that's what we saw today.
But besides the fact that it's a different coach which makes training different today, training seems quieter without our usual Mr. FOC telling meigui his super cold jokes and going uncontrollably insane.
It's a tiring day as usual.. with trainings going on who wouldn't feel tired?.. After waiting for SO long we finally see them (our pathetic juniors) doing shuttle run today. With 4 shuttles at each line, it isn't a lot right?.. lols..
And today is a chance to slack and chat with cute little ____ .. hahaha.. ops. guess who?.. And i notice her running style is very similar to the malay pig though she is much cuter than you-know-who yeah.. But sadly equally slow -.- we got to torture her more often and drill her till she gets the drive to run.
Seoul garden din't receive business from us today. Instead we patronised the bubble tea shop and fried carrot cake stall and camped in school till 6pm -.- and guess what? we were bridging again. -.- and poor meigui wouldn't forget drinking the disguisting looking water with wierd particles floating in it. lolx. luckily she din't find a worm~ or i wouldn't be living now.
p.s. i'll try to keep up with blogging this week, just to help you keep up with life ard here in s'pore. lols. how nice huh?
That shall be all for now.. it's the 14th of december tomorrow.. which means, we would be expecting a big hoo-haa.. so long now..
~ 10:47 PM ~
Going back to school these few days, we see all the sec 4s from various ccas going back to get back the groove in their specialised area. Perhaps not everyone is doing a charitable act like us, but having ample free time we sure wouldn't mind donating it to our dear juniors right?.. At least it's something constructive that we're doing. Well, that's just us. Loyal and committed. Perhaps a few weeks earlier i wouldn't dream of calling my juniors dears. But this week has made me change my perspective a little. For the better that's of course. I have come to realise how amusing it can get to tease stephanie and melvin.. how cute they look together.. XD
It's always fun hanging out with badminton people, regardless of all task we do. Be it physical trainings or light-hearted activities like drowning ourselves, we always manage to have fun together. The past few days have been badminton filled. Are we pure sadistic or really out to drive our juniors nuts?. lol.. It was fun to experience the feeling of being coach for once, seeing people under you taking your commands seriously and giving you unduly respect.
"Go run 20 rounds.. "
"Do 5 push-ups for each mistake.."
"Ready... Go!"
These are simply some of the commands laid down by us, the coaches for the day. We would never have imagined the little ones abiding by our rules and regulations set for the trainings. It was so fulfilling to watch the juniors doing the drills and physical trainings as we were gently reminded of those days under leonard's training. It really was then when disclipline was instilled in us. Who wouldn't slack once in a while?.. But with leonard gone, the batches of juniors down the line are really getting quite out of control. We "cheat" a little once in a while, nowadays they probably cheat most of the time. This could be an overstatement, well, we would never know, would we?
Attending these trainings have enlightened me on one thing. That's to think twice before making a bet with meigui, always. I should have known better than to bet with the gambling queen. Despite of what you may find to bet on with her, she being prowess never fails to win.
That day, the events seemed to be linked with each other.. At lunch, ruting and meifeng came over to our table to lunch with us. they were both carrying cup noodles. As we were eating, there was a whiff of air which came by which smelt of campbell soup. That was when the joke started.
mg: eh why got campbell soup smell?
rt: eh dunno.. this? *points to her noodles*
jas: huh? you buy campbell soup meh?
rt: no la.. chicken flavour..
jas: woah campbell soup.. smells nice leh..
*interruption by phone ring. short instant message.*
mg: woah tonight _____ cook campbell soup ask you go home drink huh?
jas: eh.. go die la.
then the joke went on.. and it never ended. I will never live it down again.
After lunch, meigui and i were onlooking a match played by two doubles pair, namely Mr. Mushroom and his foc partner against spastic spiky and jeremy. SO, meigui never fails to take the chance to place a bet. She, who makes gambling her life, made me bet with her on which team would win. I decidedly supported Mr. mushroom and meigui decided to support his FOC partner. -.- of course she was just being a pain. And so the match drew on.. with me on mushroom's side and she on spiky's side..
and..
the stakes were high...
If i lost, i would have to call.. someone.. and say something stupid..
If she lost, she would have to call.. ms gorilla.. and say "I miss you. Can you come to the hall and see me?"
I was praying so hard.. hoping so much.. that our dear mushroom wouldn't disappoint me. However, my hopes were dashed, when he became lethargic and played with little drive. Then, i started to get worried. Fortunately his crappy partner could still play, but not good enough to make up for his mistakes.. Then, the match had to end. And i lost. The BET. Of course, meigui wouldn't make herself win for nothing, and i had to be a good sport, only managing to procrastinate the call till training ended.
SO...
As all listened... with the speakerphone on..
there was a distinct silence as the dial tone went on...
"hello?"
"hey ____.. ask you uh.. you know how to cook?"
"eh a bit la.. why?"
"eh no la.. you know how to cook campbell soup?"
"eh yah?! who dunno?"
*sounds confused*
"ehm me lor.. i dunno.. you can cook for me? i miss your campbell soup.. "
*words in bold was the expected verse to say*
till now, the joke on me continues and spreads like wildfire, or maybe not. bushfire?..
i have this strong feeling that it would take a great effort to make a change of cca in JC. It just doesn't seem appropriate to drop badminton yet i don't really have a choice do i?.. i guess we'll have to wait till 14th dec which is tomorrow before the PAE results will be out and we all shall seriously consider what we plan to do in the future.. till then, it wouldn't help worrying i guess.
~ 1:53 PM ~
I've a feeling this holiday is going to pass really quickly without much accomplishment..
It's already into the month of december. Graduation ball is over, camp is over, class chalet is over.. All the events that we were looking forward to for so long have passed in a twinkle of the eye..
Class chalet turned out much better than i expected..
It was fun playing mahjong throughout the night for the first time and interacting with people whom i usually wouldn't find myself communicating with. It was quite an eyeopener, really, to see people like ruth, who is such a potato, learning how to play mahjong. Like sokmui says, the scene of ruth and mahjong just don't match. Though the chalet didn't help much in bonding, i guess it wasn't that bad really. Except for the fact that not everyone enjoyed themselves fully when there were just other dark and black secrets in this event that only the minority know, the rest manages to have a good time themselves. I guess it isnt worth bringing it up in case anyone were to get upset over it. We shall let bygones be bygones.
I should say the most memorable event of the chalet was getting drenched in the rain.. Sometimes we know of some really dark secrets that the crowd doesn't and its quite sad really.
Nevertheless, it was during this chalet that i realised pingkee can actually be a gentleman. lolx.
Ok it goes like this.. A few of us, that is huimin, weiting, weelic, pingkee, qijia, arkar and cybil and i decided to take a walk outside, at the same time, renting some bikes and taking a ride. Then it was so soon after we rode less than 15 mins later to the spider web that it started to rain. And weelic is a wierd guy i must say. Either pretty wierd or pretty brave. That's because he can't roller blade and has nil experience, yet he decides to not follow the crowd (that's us who are cycling) and roller blade on his own. He claims he had enough of cycling since he cycles everyday. OH well.. that's just so weelic.
And as i was saying, the weather decided to make fools out of us. Spending 12 bucks on 2 hours worth of bike, we spent more than half the time wasting away in the shelters due to the downpour. And when we decide that the rain has diminished slightly, we went on towards our destination which was the bike kiosk - to return our bike. Quite dumb isn't it?.. So all we did was rent a bike each, watch arkar and cybil disappear together on their duo bike and weelic acting like a total wierdo, and the rest of us feeling like pieces of lost island as we avoid the flooded shelter due to the incoming rainwater by standing on the small stools.
I guess we are all waiting for the pingkee-is-gentlemanly-part. So... we were all racing like mad back to the kiosk and mid-way we had to stop and seek shelter as the rain became heavier. And i would have thought pingkee would be the first to run off, who would have expected him to follow behind huimin who was having difficulty with her bike and riding alongside her in the heavy rain?...
It was perhaps a small gesture, but since it's coming from pingkee, i guess it's magnified. lol. wait that was supposed to be a compliment -.-
So the other memorable part of the chalet should be the barbecue i suppose.. With some of our teachers coming and YES! MR TAN CAME! lolx. boo to 4/6. and also Mr and Mrs CHong, Ms Pat Goh, Mr Tok and Mr chocolate TAn. lolx.
aRkar reaching out for? the camera??
That's all of us..
Act cute huh?.. even Mr Tan is doing it!!.. lol.. guess Mrs chong is the only saint in here.
yeah.. and that's our 4/7 chalet.
Catching less than 8 hours of slp in 2 days, that's so unlike me. And rushing off early in the morning to meet the team who have already gathered while i was still snoozing in weihong's comfy bed. wow. and it was freezing cold when i woke up to an sms. Dropping by home for less than 15 mins, it was a mad rush that morning, having to make it to school in time for my desired game of captain's ball. It was fun, as usual, hanging out with the team. The details of the camp have been so vividly drawn out in meigui's blog, i guess i need not reiterate.
In a nutshell, it is terrible that their seniors joan and meigui were so enthusiastic that they could fall and injure themselves. Especially our dear joan. Running like mad just to help prevent the juniors from having to gain punishment, therefore losing the foothold.
Water bomb fight was the most fun of course. It wasn't everyday that meigui and i could see eye to eye in a common enemy that day. lols. How can we fight with a bucket of water with tiny plastic bags?.. sorry meigui. i din't mean to dump you when they decide to drench you instead. lolx.
And the biggest joke was some idiot mistaking jeremy for weeyang and pouring a whole bucket of water over his head caught offguard. just because they wore the same shirt. lol. jeremy was fuming mad, you should have all seen him hopping like mad with his injured finger doused in water. ouch
And the overnight stay was a night of mosquito bites and unhealthy diet of Mac in the middle of the night at ard 2 am. i was totally worn out from the continuous strenuous activities of the past two days that i couldn keep my eye lids open much longer. i was then curled up in jenna's red sleeping bag and turned into a queen wormy. nicknamed by jenna the lameo of course.
It was all in all a good time that we had of course.. who wouldn't have a good time with these lame people around?
about.
Hi everyone. I should say you must be scrutinizing every part of my blog to be reading this arent you? Well, if you're that bored or interested in me, this is me you're looking at. Just a typical mundane human being living in this distorted world filled with what we call friends and foes. It's just me to get all maudlin and touchy about friendships and covalent bonds that i painstakingly built, and it's most dreading to realise what you call friends are actually fair-weathered ones and ditch you for others. You know.. that sort of ambivalent feelings which arises with such friendships. From young, my pedagogues have complained of me being temperamental and from there i have learnt and seen the world beyond me, where there happened to be people fairing far worst than i do. I realised in this period of isolation that life turns out to be happier for everyone if people knew how to be sate with life. It's just in the genes that human beings have to take things for granted and learn to appreciate things only when they have lost it. Sad isn't it?. I admit possessing that characteristic, which led me to losing what i should have treasured most, with great regrets. Now, like Krishna, we are inclined to seeking comfort from things that we are familiar with, unaccustomed to changes. It may not appear to be me on the outside, braving the winds of the outside world, strong and unbeatable. Like the saying goes, never judge the book by its cover, and i believe in that, in the way i credit people. We all treasure private space don't we?.. It's just human nature. And of course it most dreading to feel deserted by your friends isn't it.. ? To feel cheated and betrayed.. Well, live a sate life readers!
