It's so irritating that my comp had to crash and now the freaking messenger on my bro's comp refuses to sign in. Oh well.. at least i get to catch up with some blog reading since i'm home earlier today. Considering the fact that CCA stretches to 9pm on monday nights. And guess wad, as soon as we reach home, it's time to prepare to slp before we head to school once again early in the morning. No wonder we are growing up in school. not at home anymore

I miss weekends seriously. They simply whizz past without leaving me much time to catch up with all the work neglected during the weekdays. But on the other hand, people would say who cares. It's only the 1st 3 months.. BUt.. I havent finished my piece.

There is something wrong with our J1s. Or at least some of them. My mortal complains that we are freaky (which doesnt include me), and that freshmans mug early in the morning at the concourse/canteen. Maybe that's a deception. I hope =X Since most people would probably be copying homework... BuT ... i'm not done yet.

From what i know, i have classmates with a serious problem. They aren't that bad really.. Just that, they enjoy studying. And it becomes such a pleasure that they do it 24 hours a day, camping at the library at every single opportunity (including breaks) and sacrificing their time where they can eat to study -.- no comments they are probably typical kiasu singaporeans or they just have no life. I seriously think they need some help, or i will be a despressed soul soon -.- (stress you know.. tsk)

This is just my point of view though. Seems like there are other classes who have really fun loving people and really active members. It's just my luck perhaps.

Everyone's saying results are coming out soon. As much as people hope for the day to not arrive, I can't wait really. I want to know my destiny, and settle down soon. This perpetual waiting is endless, only till that fateful day arrive do we know what's in store for us in the future.
That's right. Quit worry bout the results and enjoy the rest of the few weeks having fun in a JC.

Hmm.. and then the greatest difference about JCs and Sec schs is the home rule system.. Wandering around the school like nomads during free periods and some people pon lectures and tutorials just for the kick of it. According to the J2s, J1s are supposed to have fun ponning lessons during the first 3 months and going to parkway to have fun. Felicia recounted her experience of dumping her bag outside school and pretending to be running out of school for pe, just to avoid the guard, before taking off with her friends. That's life.

Speaking bout pe, ms lim (not me) is a really good hunter, haunter or whatsoever. I know you just can't help agreeing. *nods* We had double period pe today and so had to run to ECP. On the way back, she was standing right at the ending point, and in front of me (feeling just as dead) was Allison. The 1st thing she said upon seein me was :"Jaslyn~ you are supposed to be fast!" zzz.. and allison was spared. unfair treatment Even so when playing match. She never fails to give support to the opposing team unfair treatment hurmph. lol. it's ok though she means well. I'll show her what i'm made of.
And then, during stupid circuit training at pe, she probably enjoys calling my name (since she knows limited.. ops) So she made me cup my ears while doing sit ups. And poor amanda gets haunt by her as well.. for she needs some assistance in sit ups. It's ok.. i've warned you.
The moral of the story.. Never let ms lim catch your weakness or she will drill you and haunt you till you pass narfa.

hmm.. and we had OG barbecue last friday. It was quite funn.. Ningxin knows that my og guys are much better than my class guys. Haiz. if only we could swop. =/ The girls just had to eat, and the guys would do the manual work. haha... but it was mostly the OGls at work.. so kind of them.
And of course, in the dark and mysterious night, we would find several couples sneaking off and enjoy the sea breeze. Then, thaddeus, the just had to intrude this particular couple just to take a photograph on the stab of stone. -.- And we were so disruptive, making so much noise, it probably broke their romantic moments. hah. ops. Oh well, the rest of the og went cycling till 11 plus at night, but i just had to make my way home. Only to find out on the bus that kumboon shuling and a 4/6 girl got lost in the "wilderness". lol.. and they were so smart to take at taxi bac to school -.- hahh..

there's trg tmr and i'm so not looking forward. oh well.. good nite readers.

Lessons have started proper, and ccas have gotten a headstart.
A whole new experience of stoning sessions..
stone at lectures..
stone during breaks..
stone after school while waiting for cca..
stone during cca too..
-.-
Hey meigui.. i challenge you to stoning. -.- lolz..

Well, i guess there's still a long way to go before we stop stoning..

Though we currently stone a lot, vj is still a great sch.. And it's only currently that we stone. Not deterring any victorians-wannabe.
There's a hidden reason behind lots of stoning, so quit worrying if you are. Vj isnt a stoning sch, they don't have stoning clubs. It's just that.. *shrugs* things don't go your way all the time.

This entry has been subjected to outdatedness due to its fate of being kept as a draft for too long. Sorry for keeping active readers watiting =D

It's more than a week into the new year, which also means a new start in a new school. After four days of orientation at VJC, i'm sure all victorians agree that VJC is a hyper school. If there's only one thing that victorians know how to do, then it would be to do an after cheer.. for girls to scream like mad and for guys to roar like lions.

And after orientation, now it's time to do a reality check and see that HEY it's time for lessons~ Since when have lessons ever been fun? Moreover without the company of fellow andersonians. I guess it's seriously time to learn to leave the comfort zone.

So day one was still a warm up session, as we see clusters of people from different schools congregate together. The cedar girls, the catholic high boys.. the vs boys and also the andersonians..

I guess i shalln't talk about the orientation programme unless absolutely necessary such that i would die without mentioning it.. since it is much outdated.

The most significant thing that doesn't escape my mind of the 1st day is that of the principal's speech. His catch phrase is " I'll make my talk short, sweet and sharp" But it seriously deviates so much that his talk took an hour. -.-

Cheering is the best part of day 1 as it beats icebreaking and it requires not much energy except that it makes the voice crack. Self introduction is dumb really, and i really don like speaking of myself, interest, cca, etc. Playing whacko is worst, not only does it not help in remembering of names in any way ( as people usually only remember 1 name and keep calling the same name and forgets the rest ), it is rather a waste of time. Socialising by playing polar bear is much more fun i believe, as the names would come automatically through the course of orientation.

As the members of thaddeus.the got to know one another better, everyone became more sociable and broke the glass of silence. I thought that our ogls were quite good, for they were really spontaneous and friendly.. credits to liesel, dennis, james and felicia.. though thaddeus din't win the treasure box finally, it was a fun group to belong in.

ohhhh... thaddeus!~

As i said, cheering was the forte of victorians during the orientation. It was like a stampede with victorians screaming and pounding their feets, such description may make us look like wild boars but seriously it made fellow victorians feel their hearts burn with the sense of belonging. Maybe i shouldn't speak for the rest, but at least i did. Those in consensus may leave a note behind on the board.

YO VJC~

On day 2, once again we were greeted by the principal who just loved to give short and sweet speeches. During the introduction of staff, the curtains decided to close on him and his response was really funny.. though i don't quite remember wad he said, but the incident left an impression on me.

There were some OG games which we played that were quite interesting.. dennis being game master of many games was always on our side, which was good for course. lolx. I remember pairing with shikang for cinderella, and apparently all our so called "codes" were forgotten when the game started. As the name goes, the male party is supposed to find the girl's shoes among the pile of shoes and put them on for her. Well, my shoe wasn't in the pile so it was easy to find.
lolx. we sure know how to play foul. -.- But anyway it was just a game and it was quite a mess so much so that nobody was certain of who won in the end.

Then there was this soccer game which was something like that of the soccer playing machine where players turn the handles such that the miniature soccer players in the machine will kick the soccer ball. But this time, we were the soccer players ourselves and being arm locked to each other made team spirit necessary. GM was jiawei. It's interesting to see who the noobs and who the pros are. Apparently my ogl assumes that all guys play soccer thus putting them all down to play, but i had beg to differ. lolx.

There's this other soccer game which requires some players to sit on 2 parallel benches with players from opposing teams sitting alternately with one another. Apparently this game was against opheous.oracle and a member of the group happily stepped on my foot all the while through out the game. -.- thanks a lot. Note that it's a she who was the exact same person who got her retribution when she got hit in the face by the soccer ball -.- guess wad she scolded, the **** which she had no intention of holding back..

I wouldn't forget the game where the girls got a hair wash by the guys as they collected foam from our hairs -.- How nice it is to sit there getting someone to wash your hair. It was indefinately gross to find soap trickling down your face. So, we girls should not trust those guys with our hair, thus it is better to scrub it ourselves. This is another game where we who nobly sacrificed our hair found no conclusion in the results as we rushed off to the taps to cleanse our hair.

Though there were games where members had to sacrifice themselves by getting wet, or getting whacked in the face by balls, it is all these that added to the fun in the orientation.

On day 3 we got to know our class and civic tutor. It was quite a boring day with briefings and socialising sessions with our classes again. Then it was all the cheering, dancing and gaming.

On day 4 we had sea regatta games.. It was probably the highlight of the orientation i suppose.
It was fun, cause getting wet is fun. People usually go crazy and do dementing stuff when they get wet, like dumping you with sand and dunking you in the sea. Catch wy's blog for the dunking part. He is so pleased to have successfully pushed me into the sea that i've got nothing to say.
It was just a fun filled day with the sea, sand and lots of salt really. Not that a salt monster donated the salt into the sea water, but it was really salty. When i first got pulled into the sea by liesel for god noes why, i tasted the water and it was so awfully tasty 0.0

And the most terrible experience was being dunked by brandan and his guy friends whom i din't even know. He claimed that he felt like dunking me for god knows wad reason again, thus i got dunked. Not that i could escape or anything since the guys are like so much stronger, and some so-called-good-friend of mine decided to stand by and watch me get dunked, which cause me to take 2 gulps of sea water.. -.- yucks. I thought i must have retained a lot of salt in my body that day. zzz..

Then that night we had our mass dance at suntec. We were dismissed at noon and we spent our time loitering at suntec and playing truth or dare after having lunch at taipan. I miss sushi now.. -.- It takes a lot of courage to accept their dares as cheeky people like them just love to see people doing dumb stuff. Luckily i got the wheel only twice which was quite little compared to some people like edwin who had to do stupid things like at least 3-4 times. Guys usually had to appear man and daring, thus taking up stupid dares. I din't realise truth or dare can be that fun really.. until that day. lol.. They made me bite a ogl's hair which was considered easy compared to some dares that the rest got, which was like doing stupid stuff in front of strangers or in the public. Poor Gwyneth had to kiss Shikang whom she claim was the best guy out of the rest who were sitted there.. and Siyuan had to run her hand over a guy's leg w/o his knowledge.. These were just some of the many stupid stuff we did to pass time. -.- Though it was stupid, stupid things can be quite fun too . lol. And then we had our mass dance at the fountain of wealth. The Andersonians found one another and we all hung out together until the whole event ended. It was a nice experience, at least something special that we wouldn't have gotten to do in secondary school.

That shall be all for now..

~happy year 2007

Chapter 19 of "It started with a kiss" is especially touching, so true love does exist.

Let's just summarise the past few days in a short and sweet way, as watching too much youtube has caused me to forget the world somehow. There's only Jiang zhishu right now but it's ending soon.. I'll find a new character soon enough when the next show starts.

So, friday was spent with some of the maddies and hello kitty. A picture speaks a thousand words..

kitty, hui shian, mieoteng, xinru and me at the bowling alley

all of us playing billard for the first time..

thats us during lunch at kfc..

laming in the toilet.. mieoteng was smart enough to keep the flash on..

And we had class gathering on saturday.. Not much of a class, but at least weelic tried. There was marcus, pingkee, weelic, linhai, weihong, lejun, kenneth, mingyu, junjie, xiangjun, ektheng, weiting and me. Some came, some left. There wasn't a total of 12 people at any one time. It was ok i guess, though there were more girls in class, it turned out that more guys came to the gathering than the girls, which is quite sad.

At least our guys aren't sexist or anything of that sort. And during this outing that ektheng finally realised how i feel in class or anytime i'm around those bunch of friends. But anyway, it really isn't easy.

School is reopening soon. As much as we exchange new year greetings and tell one another to keep in touch, i wonder how long we all may sustain our friendships. We shall see, since no one may predict the future..

Facing the new school with trepidation and much ambivalent feelings.

I haven't much to say. I guess i shall just end here.

Hi everyone. I should say you must be scrutinizing every part of my blog to be reading this arent you? Well, if you're that bored or interested in me, this is me you're looking at. Just a typical mundane human being living in this distorted world filled with what we call friends and foes. It's just me to get all maudlin and touchy about friendships and covalent bonds that i painstakingly built, and it's most dreading to realise what you call friends are actually fair-weathered ones and ditch you for others. You know.. that sort of ambivalent feelings which arises with such friendships. From young, my pedagogues have complained of me being temperamental and from there i have learnt and seen the world beyond me, where there happened to be people fairing far worst than i do. I realised in this period of isolation that life turns out to be happier for everyone if people knew how to be sate with life. It's just in the genes that human beings have to take things for granted and learn to appreciate things only when they have lost it. Sad isn't it?. I admit possessing that characteristic, which led me to losing what i should have treasured most, with great regrets. Now, like Krishna, we are inclined to seeking comfort from things that we are familiar with, unaccustomed to changes. It may not appear to be me on the outside, braving the winds of the outside world, strong and unbeatable. Like the saying goes, never judge the book by its cover, and i believe in that, in the way i credit people. We all treasure private space don't we?.. It's just human nature. And of course it most dreading to feel deserted by your friends isn't it.. ? To feel cheated and betrayed.. Well, live a sate life readers!
