week 2 of term 2..

school life is getting into such a routine/cycle that it is so terribly irritating. Every weekday, it's waking up early in the morning, stoning at the same spot in the canteen, going for lessons, waiting intently for the last lessson to arrive and then stoning after school to wait for cca which ends freaking late at 9.30pm (the max) . As soon as you get home, it's a bath, dinner and then time to prepare for the routine the next day by sleeping -.-

Kind of am able to see myself in cixin's shoes after reading her blog about her life in HCI.. sucks at cca, unattachment to class, and feeling like some lone soul. even crappy people like her takes time to adapt, what more it's me. 0.O

Anyway that's just a brief generalisation about school.. i aren't exactly depressed/sad.. so there isnt' a need to ask if i'm ok, or tell me to cheer up.. such cliche things don't work..only when the remedy comes, it will be magical that i become optimistic again overnight. Still look for someone that i can bear my heart to in school, though it seems hard.. oh well..
Come to think of it, every JC is the same.. besides orientation and school events being different, when it's time to study, everyone does the same in different colleges. How fun can studying get, even if vjc is known to be a hyper active school?..

On a lighter note, there was a break from mundane school life this week.. wednesday was AIR (arts in reality) day and yesterday was annual track & field championships 2007. AIR was more exciting than we thought it would be, with lots of events going on in school. Food fest, graffiti on wall, latin cha cha, balloon making, and many other workshops that could be signed up for. 07s56 attended the compulsory workshop - forum drama.. which was actually entertaining.. The people acted out a skit.. Here goes the story line.. (kinda predictable and cliche but nevertheless was fun)

This girl was a typical 18 year old, preparing for A lvls that year.. Father enjoys comparing her grades with cousin.. Girl meets guy on internet, dumb enough to give away her handphone number, gets on car with guy and ends up in tragedy. The amusing part of this whole skit is of course seeing the guy touching the girl's hip in the "car", trying to seduce her ..

But anyway the objective of forum drama is for the audience to watch the skit once, then the actors would re-act again.. and the audience may interrupt at any one time and take over the role of the protagonise (the girl) , offering solutions to prevent the girl from ending up tragically. The arts classes are the daring ones who were so actively participating while the rest of us just sat and laughed..

The event ended with a closure in the hall where there was a display of amazing fire-eating art. As all watch in awe, it was such a wet blanket to be reminded to project work that comes after AIR for J1s.

That's all i shall mention about AIR, moving on to annual track and field championships..

This year's track and field meet is significantly different.. It must have something to do with the people, the college, the participants.. the attitude, the atmosphere, the events..

No one knew anyone else.. people ask :"hey what cca are you from?" All of whom trying to find out where they may stand.. yet in the past it's " hey this year who's owning again?" and the related sort of hey-you-let-a-little-this-year kind of comments.. We all knew one another, even if it's only by name or by face.. i miss sharing my victory with you people.. those who know me so well and can detect when i'm happy or sad.. winning doesn't represent happiness to me.. it's satisfaction that does. I miss the support from you guys, though fellow andersonians in vjc who met me did wish me luck.

JC standard is really different.. in terms of academic, sports, fitness.. etc.. Some can simply join without bothering if they can really run, for the sake of their house points they would join. According to seniors the standard is so high that they feel a sense of achievement just getting into top 8 positions. Though the track meet was held in the college compound, the atmosphere was still rather good i should say.. it rained halfway through the event and the 800m girls continued to run in the rain.. some real sportmans.. =X It's inevitable though that there are people who want to escape from the event (since it's held after school) . Yet, the school seemed to be so well guarded with security guards, CCTV cameras and even councillors on duty to prevent any victorians from climbing out of the school gates.

Then there was intercca relay.. quite disappointing that we (may yee, wanyun, liying, me) got such a bad position - 2nd from the bottom list.. never fared so badly before really.. maybe they should have intercca relays like how it was like in anderson with guys and girls in combination.. =/ which means me feel so proud to be part of ABT.. when we are usually top of the list closely behind the trackers..

nevertheless our bad. guys (chunhan, xijing, adrian, zifeng) got 3rd (4th initially) after bball guys were disqualified for cutting lanes.. congrats.

cheerleading was rather cool.. ursa mascot is cute! lols.. will post pictures when i receive them..
digressing a little, i got this picture from jj's blog..

3/7'05 at sports day..

i wasn't in the picture. i admit i wasn't attached to the class enough to take a picture with them. but when we went up to 4/7 things weren't the same.

i was one of them..

i guess it just means i need time. and one day.. i will appear in 07s56's complete picture.

Hi everyone. I should say you must be scrutinizing every part of my blog to be reading this arent you? Well, if you're that bored or interested in me, this is me you're looking at. Just a typical mundane human being living in this distorted world filled with what we call friends and foes. It's just me to get all maudlin and touchy about friendships and covalent bonds that i painstakingly built, and it's most dreading to realise what you call friends are actually fair-weathered ones and ditch you for others. You know.. that sort of ambivalent feelings which arises with such friendships. From young, my pedagogues have complained of me being temperamental and from there i have learnt and seen the world beyond me, where there happened to be people fairing far worst than i do. I realised in this period of isolation that life turns out to be happier for everyone if people knew how to be sate with life. It's just in the genes that human beings have to take things for granted and learn to appreciate things only when they have lost it. Sad isn't it?. I admit possessing that characteristic, which led me to losing what i should have treasured most, with great regrets. Now, like Krishna, we are inclined to seeking comfort from things that we are familiar with, unaccustomed to changes. It may not appear to be me on the outside, braving the winds of the outside world, strong and unbeatable. Like the saying goes, never judge the book by its cover, and i believe in that, in the way i credit people. We all treasure private space don't we?.. It's just human nature. And of course it most dreading to feel deserted by your friends isn't it.. ? To feel cheated and betrayed.. Well, live a sate life readers!
